Established  over 10 years, our client is one of Thailand's leading machine manufacturers used in the various business sectors i.e. HORECA, hospitality, schools, modern trade, manufacturing and trading companies.  Due to continual business expansion, the company is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join the management team.  In this business-critical role, the successful candidate can be based anywhere in Bangkok. 

  • Ensuring smooth daily operation of the Service Department and overall service activities, covering repair, maintenance and service of machines
  • Developing systems to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction of the Service Department
  • Planning and scheduling customer visits according to requirements i.e. emergency call outs, normal preventive maintenance, maintenance under service contracts, etc.
  • Managing and controlling stock of spare parts issued for repair and service needs
  • Managing the service technicians in different locations nationwide
  • Managing the outsourced service teams where used
  • Recruiting, training, certifying and developing suitably qualified technicians
  • Motivating, building and retaining reliable service teams
  • Managing and supervising service team (around 40 headcounts)
  • Ensuring the highest quality of service activities i.e. 'First time fix' essential, reliability when done, and customer follow-up, etc.
  • Ensuring the highest level of professional behavior and appearance in all service personnel to project the required image to customers
  • Keeping detailed records of machine performance, reliability, and repair history, including monitoring for adverse trends and continuously working with the manufacturing/operation team to improve reliability
  • Thai Nationality only
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.) or any related field, a higher degree would be a plus  
  • 15 years of experience in service field in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong people management, planning, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Strong initiative and confidence in handling complexity, with the ability to work under pressure and manage short lead-time deliveries
  • Must have service-minded, a hunger to succeed with the ability to make decisions
  • Willing to work 6 days a week
  • Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to communicate in English is a plus but not essential
